ABOUT
Dr La Rosa is a consultant paediatrician and endocrine specialist.
She graduated from the University of Catania in Italy, completed specialist training in general paediatrics and sub-specialised in paediatric endocrinology focusing on the endocrine care of the young adult, with most of her core training based in a tertiary paediatric and adult endocrine unit at University College London Hospital.
Dr La Rosa’s clinical and research interests lie mainly in the field of female metabolism and hormonal disorders throughout a lifespan, particularly polycystic ovary syndrome, ovarian function, menopause and Turner Syndrome and she has been involved in a project documenting long term consequences of disorders of reproductive development that was launched in 2014.
Seeking an integrated approach to improve patient’s health and quality of life, Dr La Rosa complemented her training with further education in Nutrition (PGCert Nutrition and Public Health, UCL 2012), Ketogenic Nutrition (American Nutrition Association 2021) and Functional Medicine (AFMMC 2017).
Her practice focus on women’s unique individual's health needs and combines evidence based endocrine care with a holistic integrative approach.
